Quantity Surveyor – Ruthin, North Wales (Full-Time)
Lewis & Hunter Contracting Ltd. is a respected leader in highway construction, specialising in high-quality surfacing and ancillary civil works for both private and public sector clients. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Quantity Surveyor to join our friendly, hard-working team.
About the Role
As our Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing cost control processes, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), planning budgets, monitoring project costs, producing detailed cost reports, and ensuring cost efficiency. Other responsibilities include:

Preparing and reviewing cost/value reports, interim valuations, and final accounts

Managing and analysing the financial performance of construction contracts

Issuing interim and final invoices, tracking payments to ensure prompt collection

Organising and maintaining contract documentation and records

Assisting with tender preparation and pricing for new projects
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:

A relevant qualification (HND or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or construction

Preferably experience in the highways construction and maintenance industry

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Google documents

Strong commercial awareness and a driven, ambitious mindset

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

The ability to work well in a team
